I don’t know about you, but I have been watching The Daily Show for decades now. I’ve always loved the wit, dedication, and thoughtfulness Jon, Trevor, and the cast of correspondents have brought to the program.
I never quite admitted that I dreamed of being on the show, but I 100% did.
So needless to say, I was pumped when I was asked to be part of a “Behind the Scenes” segment about marijuana reform. The video was just posted online. Check it out!
Roy Wood Jr. interviewed me and Keeda Haynes, a formerly incarcerated attorney out of Tennessee, to get into the weeds on marijuana reform.
We tackled a range of issues, from the harmful effects of criminalization to the strengths and weaknesses of the reform movement, and of course, the need to kick prohibitionists out of Congress!
With so much happening in the political discourse right now, one thing is becoming crystal clear: Americans of all political stripes support legalization. As I said in the interview, “I don’t care whether you want to call it marijuana, weed, cannabis or pot, I just want to call it legal.”
And a supermajority of Americans agree.
Can you help spread the word by sharing the segment?
We’re bringing our message of legalization to voters across the country this year, but we need your help to make sure we connect with people who care about legalization and might not otherwise cast a ballot.
Will you make a contribution to mobilize voters?
Thanks for all you do!
Solidarity,
Justin
