BREAKING: 14 Republican lawmakers just sent a letter to the Drug Enforcement Administration urging the agency to keep marijuana highly restricted and criminalized.[1] They’re panicking after reports that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) may recommend rescheduling marijuana to Schedule III—which doesn’t even come close to true legalization.[2]
Even more ridiculous, these Republicans (the same ones who deny climate change) are citing “science” in their efforts to kill rescheduling.
Despite supermajority public support for cannabis reform, MAGA Republicans like Sen. James Lankford and Rep. Pete Sessions are now raging in support of the prohibition machine. Many other Republicans have joined them, even as scientific evidence supports legalization.
If we really want marijuana reform, we must vote these prohibitionists out. BOWL PAC is fighting for even more than just rescheduling—we want true legalization—and to make it happen, we’re gearing up to challenge these politicians.

The stance of these Republican representatives is extreme. They label the HHS recommendation as “irresponsible” and openly express their desire to retain the criminalization of cannabis: “Our country relies on the DEA to enforce our nation’s drug laws. We ask you to uphold your mission by rejecting any effort to remove marijuana from Schedule I.”
It is clear what we are up against. This fight isn’t just about cannabis—It’s about science, justice, and allowing citizens the freedom to make their own informed decisions. It’s about helping veterans and many others access needed medicine without federal backlash. It’s about challenging those who place politics over people.
Thank you for joining this hugely important cause.
In Solidarity,
